Bence Apáti, a member of the Opera since 2000, is a soloist with the Hungarian National Ballet
He pursued his studies in Madrid, at Alicia Alonso’s institute, and then at the Hungarian Dance Academy. His principal roles include Tybalt (Romeo and Juliet), the title role of Spartacus, Petruchio (The Taming of the Shrew), Karenin (Anna Karenina), the Nutcracker Prince (The Nutcracker), Ivan (The Karamazovs), Rotbart (Swan Lake), Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), in addition to appearing in choreographies by Balanchine and Eagling, as well as portraying Bernardo in West Side Story.
