On 1 March 2014, the tradition of the balls at the Opera House was revived. Significant personalities of the nation, renowned public and business people as well as internationally acclaimed figures of the art and sports met in a noble cause. As one of the highlights of the Richard Strauss season, the gala programme featured pieces by the German composer. Audiences were also delighted by balett and sports performances by young sportspeople. In the meantime, those preferring a less formal type of entertainment got the chance to participate in this social event and donate as well at the Dalszínház StreetBall next to the Opera House.
